Absolutely great company to work for

I love working with people, a typical day at my work place involves phones calls and emails interacting with clients. In order for me to execute my duties, i need to work hand in hand with my co-workers to ensure excellent service delivery. I have learnt that you can learn to have passion for everything as long as you set your mind on it and you want to achieve a goal at the end of the day. I enjoy reaching my targets set by the company - fulfilling. The most challenging aspect of my job is difficult clients - when we have back orders - a lot of of our clients seems not to understand.

Global role

No two days are the same at the SA site of this global company. Great focus on route cause analysis to improve the overall process is key in all areas of the company. Challenges are mostly around how to manage a global function in local business hours from Australia to the US.

Capable and Highly competitive

Typical day includes meetings and emails. I have a great working relationship with co-workers, a friendly environment which affords me an opportunity to grow. I enjoy the opportunities to meet new people and learn from their way of doing things. Travelling and distance with co-workers hinder progression.

Typical corporate

Thermo use to be a great company to work for about 5 years ago as it use to be managed as a local SME however the most recent inclusion of the BU in the corporate structure have turned the BU into a typical corporate where staff are nothing but numbers. EQ has dropped significantly apart from the fact that typical corporate driven political correctness have gone into overdrive. The corporate culture is a little toxic.

Pros: Good structure, well disciplined
Cons: Terrible staff attitudes and politics
