Great Experience and Learning Curve

A typical work day consist of designing brochures, maintaining website and designing of internal and external marketing material. I have gained extensive experience in Digital marketing material and web maintenance. At Thompsons Holidays I was offered a great opportunity to travel as incentives and educational. The challenging aspect of the industry is the foreign exchange rate and the effects it has on pricing in the tourism industry.

Excellent learning opportunities

Working at Thompson's was good, got to learn so many new things, and completed a few good courses that will definitely help me in future. A normal work day at the office would be, being on the phones dealing with agents, quoting, calling to check availability, making sure the prices all match up, then sending the client the quote and going through it with them explaining why you chose those particular options for them, As give 2-3 options for them to look at. Bookings need to be made as soon as possible, always checking the cancellation policies, making sure the money is in before flights could be booked and confirmed.

Good Company

I work for a great company. Learnt alot over the years with knowledgeable staff. Relationships are good. I'm usually the first person a new person would interact with as I'm a trainer. Been there for 15 years and worked my way up from data capturer
