Working at a retail made me a stronger person because i am able to handle pressure and i can deliver what is needed to our customers and working at totalsports made me to learn many things that can take me on the other level of the career that i want to do.

Good experience and willingness to learn more
A well experience team indeed willing to learn and friendly. A very good relationship and understanding. Good customer experience I had with the customers and supplier's. Things that I got to be challenging is not having full support and lack of trust.

Great business for growth
I started out as a junior manager and then was promoted each year up until 2013 when I became a senior store manager. I left in 2017 due to health reasons but was welcomed back in 2018 after some time off. I was very quickly encouraged to apply for the vacant area manager position but I did not have my drivers license and was unsuccessful. I have since learned to drive and in the process of getting my drivers license.

Good learning curve
Good company to work at which doesn't have alot of opportunities coming to growth and the business is ran by emotions most of the time which is unethical and I don't want to see myself is such a workplace.back to back basics are great and the is alot to learn from as long your willing and able to work under pressure.the place is vibrant and wants a person who can handle different personalities and patient coming to give best customer service,you have to be able to work under pressure and be a problem solver fast

Excellent company
I am in the Carletonville region. Totalsport is energy in a different way. You live, eat, think and breath a good feeling in the company. Totalsports is focusing on all human and not just the sport people. Everybody love a good feel feeling. I will say Totalsports is giving this to the staff and most of all to the people out there that lives for a dream come true. A typical work day is to make everybody happy in giving the customer what thy need. We did do promotions and marketing everyday to make our targets given by the company. The relationship in the store was great. Everybody took part in all events. Head office and the aria Manager was working very close white there allocated stores. What I great at home feeling. I enjoy motivating staff and reaching the set targets given to the store. I also like the visual part of the marketing. It is great to always have something new in the company. The most challenging aspects is making all people shop at Totalsport and not just the sport people.

I learned to work as a team and to work with all type of personalities
My relationship with my co_workers was excellent as we spend more of our time at work we have to be so customer can feel welcomed in store.I have learned to work with all type of personalities, to reach target,to open accounts,customer strategies,product knowledge(kpis).I enjoyed working with customers,canvassing,selling.the most challenging aspect of the job is when us as team work so hard and at the end they don't show appreciation or motivation so that you can work more harder

Totalsports it's totally different from what it used to be as the manager lead by emotions
Totally a different place , there is lot of politics withen the store its self..... Staff being threatened by store manager ,we can't even escalate the matter to big bosses as she's the favorite

Cons: not being paid overtime instead they will be giving time offs
