My time here is well spent

I work in an office environment with only 6 staff members. What i enjoy most is the unity displayed, the team work and the way our system works that everything i do is dependent on one or other member in the team, and visa versa. The positive atmosphere makes coming to work a pleasant experience. This well oiled machine runs smoothly, only because each of us contributes 100%. This small concern has given me much to learn with regards to the running of a business, and how not to do things. The most challenging things we face here is the pressure to get things done asap with the deadlines. Yes we all have our personal lives that sometimes spills over into the office, but we even manage to be there for each other, building more than just work relations. What saddens me is the at fact that I have not much room to grow and where i find myself financially, is the major factor why i need to venture out there again and find something new for me.

Cons: not much room for growth

A typical day

My day generally consists of processing Purchase Orders, Goods Receipting any stock which comes in, raising a supplier invoice, checking all goods coming in to the company. Checking on the stationery levels. Checking the kitchen supplies. Assisting with any tenders and RFQ's. I have an excellent relationship with my colleagues we get along very well. The most challenging aspect of my job is making sure that all orders received is on track for delivery.

Cons: Long working hours
