I have 19 years administration experience. I have done debtors creditors and payroll. We worked up to 55 hours a week no overtime paid. I worked in the solar industry for 3 years doing power charts, creditors, debtors, reception, quotes, switchboard, follow up of quotes and debt collecting plus banking. It is an extremely interesting work inviroment you learn something new each day. I have been retrenched since May last year die to financial difficulties within the company.

Pros: You learn new information each day
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent exposure

I have been retrenched at my previous company but I have learnt a lot about the nature of its business(Actom Signalling). I have gained more accounting experience and have enjoyed reconciling accounts. I have also enjoyed working with different characters of people and that has helped me to understand people. Team spirit was the most interesting part for the achievement of goals for the department. The most challenging part was the delay of information from other parties for completing the task.

Pros: Great opportunity for gaining more experience
Cons: Unique type of business compared to other engineering companies
