Work day
Working for Unilever Indonsa give be overall packing hall experience, I involve myself with daily running of the department reviewing production performance with the operations team, from engineering failures, process failures, people related failures and material. Production planning meeting where we sign off weekly plans and analyze potential issues we the plan. What I enjoy the most is the coming up with solutions after analyzing the issues faced by the department, e.g. cost per ton target was not met, improved it by insourcing products from our third party packers. Designed engineering solutions and run projects. Biggest learning is on people motivation to deliver the company goals and align to the end goal of the department and the entire organization.
Pros: Best company to learn and apply knowledge and drive teams
Cons: few opportunities for growth

VERY GOOD EXPOSURE
Factory environment is totally different from cooperate environment and a typical day at work varies however very hectic since it is a manufacturing factory, I've learnt how to exceed tasks given to me and manage assisting others my relationship with co-workers is great as it is a very laid back environment, I enjoy sharing experiences and imparting knowledge from/with my colleagues, The most challenging aspect is having to deal with different suppliers and making sure that all parties involved are happy
Pros: Great growth potential
Cons: Contract basis

Unilever is an excellent foundation and learning institute for FMCG brand exposure
Unilever is a great company to learn how to grow great amazing brands from pure consumer insight. it exposes you the core of business operations and runnings... allowing you to innovate and create products that are based on need and insight. the agility and thought leadership the company displays is excellent in keeping you feeling like you can create work life balance. The most challenging aspects is the leadership structure and feeling aligned to ones leadership... with the ever changing landscape of leadership you tend to lose authenticity and thats not something one individual can change. when cultures misalig its sometimes hard to stay motivated in your current space.
Pros: Great agility and working with great expertise in functions to achieve the goal.
Cons: leadership conflict /not enough reward and recognition

Pros: well known company, excellent employee benefits (besides compensation)
Cons: political structure and hierarchy stunts speed. Huge bottleneck in upward mobility

My day at Unilever
I would walk in - and I always make it a habit of greeting everyone I pass or come across. My co-workers trust me to give them or anyone an honest opinion and view. they come to be if they do not want to be fed "bull-shit". I have learnt so much here. Unilever has been a massive learning opportunity for me. I built on my knowledge of logistic and became more proficient in SAP. I enjoyed the team get togethers. WE had fun. The most challenging aspect was being quiet about something that I knew was wrong.
Pros: It is a great learning opportunity. Because of the number of people working in thsi organisation, we learn to interact and be interdependent.
Cons: Too much politics

Pros: Great flexibility
Cons: Too much focus on graduates
