Team player

Was working at Absa for the passed 5 years, was working as a teller and customer service. In my working experience, I have built a strong relationships with my co-workers and we worked as a family. Working as a team has taught me to build a relationship with my co-workers, to get the job done in time. What most I enjoyed working with my team was, we knew when we had to deliver to the company and generate the sales branch, we helped each other to meet our targets.

Good learning curve

Generate sales, identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction, provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods, meet customer service team sales targets, handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution, manage large amount of incoming calls, follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies and take the extra mile to engage customers. i work well with my co-workers and clients, i enjoy meeting new people everyday and having to solve complicated queries. I have learned to be patient and work in a team, challenging aspects about this job is having to deal with difficult clients and lack/limited growth in this role.

The current 4th industrial revolution, innovation technologies amoungst companies focused on attracting and retaining customers is driving most organisations and companices to move at a fast pace in order to attain and retain these customers in order to survive. Working for an Organisation which has lost its customer confidence due various issues has driven the organisaton to revised their strategy and focus. This has led to the current workforce adopting new ways or work to deliver agfainst this strategy. I spend my time focusing on ensuring issues or risks are indentified and mitigated where possible. It is most important to indentify, treat and report. Getting to a healthy risk appetitie helps the Organisation to make informed decisions. Having the ability to use big data allows one to move to a more predictive way of enabling decisions to be made soundly.

A very busy and fast paced job.

a typical working day is very busy with admin and client interaction. My relationship with my co-workers are excellent,there is a mutual understands and respect shown. I have learn't to adapt to the different client base such as race and language. i do speak both english and affrikaans. The most challenging part of my job is the targets and deadlines.

Pros: Good benefits such as pension and rebate on banking fees

I would like to work for a company with opprtunity in customer service and trainging.

I am looking for a career change with a company that is driven and want to broaden their horizon. A typical work day would start sat 7hoo *checking of reports of previous days work *Identify gaps *attendance of staff *Work capacity *sample previous days work *check in meetings with management * buzz meeting with team *review of processes *coaching with staff I enjoy working with people and giving training.

absa is a great company to work for the perks are good, and they take care of the staff but most of the job opportunities are in johannesburg and i am in cape town they do not have alot of growth available in cape town

Working a fraud operator(investigator)

Lovely working environment, diversified environment flexible working and great opportunity for growth. Sometimes required to work weekends which could be a drag sometimes. A lot of work we do here is in digital context, which makes the industry itself vulnerable to external influence although it’s easier to move along with time.
