Great place to grow professianlly
High pressures, great environment to work as I was interacting with people. I enjoyed working with my colleagues and learning something new everyday as the systems and regulations get updated everyday. Working at Absa builds ones person in a way that you grow professionally as it is a big company.

Day to day activities
Imanagedtocreateanenvironmentofcollaborationwithintheteam members working together to stop working in isolation. I stated reporting on the market share from the data we received from South African Reserve Bank for our product offering and to better position our products in the market. Providedproductinsightsovertheyears,toassistwithplanningbetter on our campaigns using prior successes. Providingacleardirectionofthestrategyandconstantcheckingwith the team resulted in the business unit to be ahead on target by R5 million last month’s performance.
Pros: Opportunity to apply myself in a different environment to allow myself to grow.

I'm working as a sales consultant,customer service and administrative position.
My name is Mary ,I'm a good person I like to work at customer service,administrative positions,i like to work with people who respects each other and understand different peoples because I leant how to treat and work with people of different norms and cultures,i enjoy to work with clients or customer,the most challenging aspect of the job it's when I have a lot of work in a day but I'm usually manage to finish my work in time, I normally work for 8 hours a day

Good company to learn a lot from.
When I was appointed as contact center support analyst, I got the opportunity to work in a team where I learnt and enjoy. Most of the staffs on the team are well experienced from where I got the shared knowledge, different ideas and techniques from the different people. I learned the fundamental concept of understanding the customer behavior, strategic to grow the department and the day to day planning and policies to be self confident and self motivated. I believe this is the most helpful things which i learned from my current employer.

Learning curve
Great place to work at, with great exposure to the corporate world and diversity. There a great opportunities offered to employees. the culture s grea and the working hours are flexible, one can balance work and lifestyle well. Employees are offered sufficient working tools in adequate working environment.

I am a vivid team player and leader.
Strategic Project & Change Management requires a great deal of innovation, analysis and planning skills, hence I raised and implemented an idea of a balance threshold within ABSA Debit orders in 2011 and the Paperless Project in 2014. I am a vivid team player and leader who believes in changes and improvement of services, processes, ways of work and a better environment for our colleagues.

My love for warehousing
From a COBOL background grinding in Production supporting batch and resolving prod incidents while optimising the system daily; I developed a passion for Data.Clean data. Well stored data. ETL effectiveness, costs of running,streamlining the team to produce the best systems,results and most importantly, serve the business and give them more than they ask for or even expect. I have veen working in many new technologies from my mainframr days. DATASTAGE, TERADATA, MS Stack(SSRS/SSIS/SSAS), Essbase cubes, DB2, Oracle warehouse, ORACLE developer, WORKFLOW,MDM, Data lineage, building the warehouse, data lakes,Hive and Hadoop, modelling data. Using agile principles has been a welcomed change to my world. A way to plug and fix...run cheaper queries, streamline a business. I have a lot to say about BI.

I believe I have been paid well at my stay at Absa. The bonus was not good though.
I was well compensated while I worked at Absa. I am happy that I have found a company that comes close to my last CTC. I am hoping that the company I am applying for has a better working culture. A diverse team would also be great. Compared to my last company or rather team, I would be much happier should I work with people who motivate and uplift me rather than break me down.
