Another egg into my basket - Generic Management
My responsibilities are to facilitate training, stakeholder engagement, content review for updates, draw training schedule, need analysis, post training analysis, as well as pre and post training administrative duties. I joined this department permanently on the 22nd of May 2017 and I was confused. I didn't let my lack of industry knowledge discourage me. I reached out to my colleagues and drew as much knowledge and information from the as I could. Now, even though there's quite a lot to learn since Absa is such a huge empire, I can proudly say I have made quite a remarkable amount of progress. I leveraged off my colleagues and now I am useful resource in the team. What I enjoy about my job are the bank-related concepts, characters, process as they are quite practical and agile.

I am able to learn very quickly and adapt well to new technology
Check cash needed for ATM (4) load cash. Prepare cash for SBV pick up, count all atm deposit cash and balance them. Prepare foreign currency and distribute when needed by consultants fo forex. Prepare cash management template for rands and foreign currency. Send out update emails to relavent parties for cash management. Prepare ordered amounts by clients, distribute cash to the tellers and replenish their cash machines. Order foreign currency and clear what is not needed by the branch prepare listings to balance the day before. Count all cash given or banked for the day and clear cash to keep within limit. Balance all accounts and cash for the end of the day. Balance recons at the end of the month.

High paced environment
High paced environment good relationship with workers, learnt how to deal with deadlines and work pressures, i enjoy the high paced environment the most challenging part was to work from home and still learn how to function in my role

Do not give up easily
My day starts with actioning leads and calling clients to give them feedback.During the day I assist and do my normal job of selling products and solutioning clients.My relationship with my co-workers is good because we learn from each other and work as a team to achieve our branch targets. I have learnt that i should treat people the same weather they have money or not in their accounts because that person who does not have anything in the account will give you a sale one day.what I enjoy most is that i get to meet new people everyday and I like to engage with them.The most challenging aspects would be when the system is offline and we have to deal with furious client's and again I still have target to achieve. The other thing would be colleagues that are lazy to work and they over work you.

Excellent working culture and policies in place
Great opportunities and face to face interaction with clients. Easy to grow in You develop a long lasting work relationship with your clients... You know them and it gets easier to identify their need so service becomes a whole lot easier.

My Current job role is intensive, always on my feet to assist clients right through the day. i would say the only challenging part of my job would be not having the correct access to certain things which hinders a lot of work progress. which can also be frustrating trying to deliver your best service possible. However throughout my experience working for ABSA, it has been a good journey. i have learnt a lot and believe i am ready to grow further. throughout the work experience at ABSA, there have been good and bad experiences but nothing bad worth mentioning. i would have to say my best experiences are being able to get to work with amazing people and getting my hands dirty with the latest tech

Learning something new
I have been at Absa for just over 4 years and its been a great journey of learning. I love working in teams over and above the daily interactions the learnings is my biggest take away as well as sharing what works for me. I am passionate about developing people. I have learnt over the years never to take anything personally and every person is different.
