Great place to grow professianlly
High pressures, great environment to work as I was interacting with people. I enjoyed working with my colleagues and learning something new everyday as the systems and regulations get updated everyday. Working at Absa builds ones person in a way that you grow professionally as it is a big company.

Gaining a broader knowledge and skills
Every morning I update team stats from the previous days work flow, see what is left and how much work inflow we have for the day and distribute to my team members Processs transactions as per stakeholders request i.e set offs, eft's, account closure and induplum for the following products; mortgage loans, personal loans, cheque accounts and credit cards Have 10 minute sessions to update the team on their stats The job has taught me responsibility and working hand in hand with my team leader has given me leadership skills and approaching difficult situations more logical and having our customers and stakeholders best interest at heart

Excellent working inviroment
Ii a typical day, come in log in to be ready I'm quite popular, hardworking helpful and very serious with my work. A huge team player. I enjoy it when the clients get paid their benefits timeously Iya challenging when clients don't get paidli

Good place to work in, yes you will have to forget about your private life
Good place to work in, yes you will have to forget about your private life. Abnormal working hours even if one is into IT. Another positive to take home is the fact that they will pay for one to up skill themselves, bursaries.

A typical work day at my company
A typical work day for me. In my field of work there is room for growth and I definitely took advantage of that. Currently I assist clients with maintaining their online profiles. Whilst doing that I sit in different departments to up skill myself to be able to assist when help is needed. I am also a 2IC for my team leader which includes duties such as: Weekly planning for the team Attending managers meeting Dealing with complaints and escalations I also assist with relooking and refining our process and procedures.

I always strive my best at all i do as i believe in being consistent at all times
A typical work day would be doing my best at making customers happy.im a very open and friendly person and that helps as its easy to connect with my colleagues and my clients and boss. Since i joint this company I’m working for i have learned so many things punctuality,treated people the same irrespective of race or color being confident and a lot more things.
Pros: I need a promotion to better my skills elsewhere
Cons: I can work Lon hours but if it’s overtime it needs to be paid extra

Slavery
A typical work day starts off with deadlines and time management throughout the day. Multi tasking constantly with assisting staff and clients as well as switchboard operating while trying to do daily administration and operations of the branch. I see it as slavery as absa likes to give people dual roles and when it comes to performance reviews you are only rated on one role. Constant abuse and slavery especially towards the white staff

Learning experience
The flesh hours are great especially being a working mother. The work is not that strennuous, you just have to pay attention to detail and ensure quality is at standard as well as quantity. We as co-workers support one another and assist when assistance is required. I have learned that different entities operate differently and there is always a beneficiary that has majority of control over the entity. I enjoy figuring out who the beneficiaries are as they hold control in other companies too. The challenging aspects would be the complex entities.
