Excellent learning curvea for all

Great team to work in the Data Centres across the country, liaising with Venders, third Party Clients and escorting assisting them with Cabinets allocation as well as configuring servers. Our main responsibility was to see that all Fibre and copper connections were in place... Overall, all team members are in line with their duties and responsibilities, some banking and other opportunities are all opportunities to grow withing the Institution but in overall excellent...

Was able to gain experience from tactical to strategic

Absa has been a great platform for me to diversify my skills. As Lead Business analyst I was involved in several projects and mainly regulatory which I did not have exposure to before. Unfortunately growth opportunities at absa are very limited now. I enjoyed the autonomy I was given however and was enabled and supported by senior leadership which motivated excellence (I received an Excellence award in 2017).

Pros: Being promoted to Business Architect
Cons: Leadership changed and so did the culture

Learning curve

I had been working with Answer and learned a lot. It build my self esteem learned how to communicate with individual. Doing sales telephonically and face to face meeting with clients willing to understand and is apt to any situation I find myself in

Excellent skills attained

Working here was nice, the atmosphere, the staff is taken well care of.The staff members here are friendly and will make you feel at home.i have learnt more about the spirit of Ubuntu. The most thing I enjoyed was being able to resolve customer complaints and disputes.The challenges were dat ders no specific training for the job so you learn as you go buy I managed to overcome everything n ended up learning a lot along the way.

Success is about believing in yourself

Absa is a great and wonderful company everyone can wish to here. I enjoy working here because everyday you learn something new and my colleagues love helping where they can. I have learned about saving money and investing. Also the good thing I love is that my team take care of transactions performed in all point of sales in retail stores like Pick n Pay, Shoprite, etc. The most challenging aspects of this job is you keep learning new things everyday and this kinda sound interesting. My team work with technologies like mainframe,easytrieve,jcl,hogn so myself I now want to explore more by learning latest technologies.

I have learnt that no job is easy

On a typical workday i process transactions for clients namely withdrawals,deposits, transfers . I have learnt that fear of whats unknown to you is fear of new possibilities I enjoy learning new things and teaching others what i know as well.
