Excellent learning curve
Working at a butchery opened my mind as to how much meat products are consumed. As well as how to slice meat products and package accordingly. What I cherish the most is the clientelle thay I have acquired thus far as they come back for my service. My typical day starts with house keeping duties which include sweeping, mopping making sure the place is clean then starting a fire for making pap and then making sure there are enough salads for those customers whom want to buy and braai. The job is challenging all the time as I work alone for seven days a week.

Continually improving
My relationship with my co-workers is excellent, I pretty much get along with everyone. I enjoy being fully challenged. The most challenging aspect of the job is moving away from legacy systems that have crucial data and transferring the data that is stored there into the cloud.
Pros: Great exposure to financial sector and finding new ways to transform that sector through IT.

Day to day activities

I stated reporting on the market share from the data we received from South African Reserve Bank for our product offering and to better position our products in the market. Providedproductinsightsovertheyears,toassistwithplanningbetter on our campaigns using prior successes. Providingacleardirectionofthestrategyandconstantcheckingwith the team resulted in the business unit to be ahead on target by R5 million last month’s performance.

The Journey
Everyday was very inciteful and informative. I had a good relationship with my co-workers was very good and some of them became very good friends with them. The training and experience I gained made me an expect. I learned how to handle irate customers and assist them to their outmost satisfaction. As time went I got a promotion to lead a small team for a project at my department. When I moved to the fraud department , that was when I was trained to be a fraud investigator. the culture of the company, the team buildings, environment. I did find the job challenging was i enjoyed being kept on my toes, and due to the great team and training that we had it made the work more easy.

Excellent learning curvea for all
Great team to work in the Data Centres across the country, liaising with Venders, third Party Clients and escorting assisting them with Cabinets allocation as well as configuring servers. Our main responsibility was to see that all Fibre and copper connections were in place... Overall, all team members are in line with their duties and responsibilities, some banking and other opportunities are all opportunities to grow withing the Institution but in overall excellent...

Good day, my day starts off by prioritizing my daily work load. following up to previous emails, requests and instructions from my clients.. I work within a team that services high to ultra high net worth clients within Absa. I have a great relationship with my co-workers and find it easy to earn their trust and respect. over the past ten years I have gained a vast knowledge within the banking world. my experiences within the industry has brought much joy to me as I take delight in servicing my clients and showing them that it is not just customer service but also a customer experience that I have to offer.. I find new challenges work to my benefits because I excel under pressure..

Business Growth
Need to check if I'm being paid according to what is expected. Company has been a blessing to me for working here. Too much learning from being just a technician, worked my way up to heading couple of migration projects, to managing service desk in CIB. Got promoted to Operations Manager managing team of Field Service Managers per campuses in Johannesburg until I moved to Service Management as part of managing the overall Payment Service in CIB
Pros: Analytical, Task bound and always dedicated to work and ethics required.
Cons: Sometime not easy to deal with forever rapidly changing technology, which anyway comes as a learning experience
