Absa has allowed me to grow within their range of services. Over the four (4) years that I have been with Absa head office, I have reached potentials that I myself knew i had but was to afraid to reach. I have grown so much within the company, and have learned so much and achieved so much. I believe that I can take on the world. Worked on Absa brand and name change
Hi , this company was best to work but due to lockdown I lost my job aas Absa , and this was one of best company I wanted tmy relationship with coworkers was really good and we wowe all used to help each other s in there work sometimes.o continue working decided to hold on projects for

There's no room for growth considering the many employees in the company

good company lot of growth and excellent co-workers I've done different roles , which i learn a lot working with direct customer , working with a team , working back office alone. learn how to deal with client/ customer as their all differs professional manner business language and behavior client confidentiality group culture.

I have haddifferrent rolesin the company, the people are amazing but thefrowrh opportunity is limited. They offer everything according to labour laws and provide training for new employees

A sea of excellence
Having successfully implemented various projects within the Tech Portfolio as well as the new Absa Investor Services ? I o versee and manage the transition and integration of the Custody & Trustee and Derivatives business from an international bank into Absa’s IT function from a Tech perspective. Integration of work streams to assess, Implement “best practice” of integrating Core Systems, internal systems including external vendor systems. Also bringing in old legacy systems across to Absa. ? Working agile at Absa
Working in an agile environment, I quickly learned that managing expectations with senior leadership in the Western Cape and the national team will lead to the success of my team. There is an old saying…out of sight, out of mind – I had to ensure that the team and I were always top of mind even when we were not in the office by communicating to key stakeholders on WhatsApp groups and email, the activity schedule for the week and to contact the project lead (Marketing Consultant) for any queries which assisted the team to drive participation and involvement of senior leaders; example Woza Nazo Customer activations My leadership style also had to change considerably – I had to focus on performance output and not on the number of hours the team spend in the office. I have built a dynamic and high-performance team, that is respected by their peers and leadership and seen as trusted advisors.

Digital Transformation
Excellent team and fun to have team get together every now and then. Learnt new technologies like artificial intelligence, third party webservices to check customer's identification and verification. Obtaining more securities to onboard high risk customers.Discussed among the team for product backlog and shared the user stories among ourselves depending upon our strengths. Helping each other with the complex requirements .
Pros: Great opportunity for learning new tachnologies way forward to digigtal trasnformation
Cons: Sometimes felt uneasy with the development team as it is an inhouse product and most of the knowledge is sitting with them.
