Hardworking, Loyal and Passionate for Payroll
I am a hardworking, loyal and passionate person who always goes the extra mile. I have over 18 years payroll, payroll management, VIP, SAP, ESS and HR experience. I am an excellent team player but is very strong as an individual. I am extremely punctual and accurate in my work. I am also deadline drive and strive under pressure. A lot has been learned over the last 18 years in payroll and HR. I have learnt to deal with people of every walk of life, from the unskilled right back up to the CEO. My careful eye and attention to detail is always helped me do the best work.

Excellent
Great company to work for in overall. Very helpful colleagues who always support each other, we really all have a good working relationship. I've learnt a great deal in the short space of time that I've been working here, Challenges have been mainly the external stakeholders, like suppliers, they can be difficult to please at times but one tends to learn from them as well.
Pros: Great education opportunities and moving around internally.
Cons: The workload can be overwhelming at the best of times.

Challenging environment requiring courageous leadership and engaged employees
The FMCG environment is constrained and we need to reconsider our business model. Cost containment is key. As HR Director I need to manage employee engagement and labour relations in this context. An important lesson I have learnt is the power of shopfloor employees to influence the success of the business through their willingness to commit themselves to working to standards - and the opposite of this which is the disastrous consequence of a disengaged workforce. Good leadership and constructive engagement with employees are critical for business success and HR can play a key role to drive this agenda. My relationship with my colleagues is one of mutual respect and trust and we have a lot of fun together as a team.

It has been an excellent learning curve and as a person I grew a lot.
Currently the company is an amazing JSE listed company, that allows for various challenges for a Tax assistant to conquer. It is dynamic and I have been growing in knowledge and as a person. It pushes you to become better and learn to swim in the deep end. The very late hours were a challenge and this has made it a bit unacceptable. Typically I would manage emails and queries that arise from the business units, maintain the SARS eFiling profile and much more. Our team works very well together and I have become great friends with them.
Pros: Experiance and exposure to JSE requirements for companies
Cons: Micro managing Tax manager and working until early hours of the morning and no flexi hours

Excellent company to work for, great learning place for up and coming young people.
I AM QUALIFIED ARTISAN BY TRADE (FITTER) I COME FROM A HEAVY METAL INDUSTRY BACK GROUND. I THEN MOVED ON TO AUTOMOTIVE THEN ENDED UP WHERE I AM CURRENTLY WHICH IS FMCG. I HAVE OVER FIVE YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE AS A MAINTENANCE PLANNER. I HAVE AN N6 NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. I HAVE VAST EXPERIENCE IN MAINTENANCE PLANNING. I HAVE WORKED WITH DIFFERENT COMPUTERIZED SYSTEMS SUCH AS (PRAGMA, SHOP WARE, UPTIME, BAAN, MS - WORD,EXCEL, POWER POINT AND ETC).

People skills matter
Working in such a large organisation, it gives you an opportunity to build your people skills with people from different levels and walks of life. A big part of the job is not the job itself, but being able to build relationships with key stakeholders go be able to influence decisions based on strategic business objectives. I thoroughly enjoy the strategic part of my job in being ablat the bigger picture is and the necessary steps required to achieve this. Most challenging is the being able to keep abreast of technological changes ahead of competitors to remain competitive and be first to market.

Not a lot of professional growth
Although a great environment to develop in EQ and personal maturity, there are not always opportunities to grow professionally and not a lot of executives interested or invested in the development of employees.
