Excellent training providers

Checkers gave me the best training they make sure you understand the systems and training on how to handle a customer and how to work in a team and leading your team to the out most best and communication and to be presentable its like you need to sell yourself by putting yourself in the market that s why i love marketing as well managing your people for a profit is based on how you lead by an example. Most challenging is when you have to deal with a customer complaint by making sure you don t loose a customer you have to be listen and adhere to that customer and fix the problem before it gets worse.

Pros: my next promotion would be a regional manager

Excellent

Good customer service and a good team work,giving extra efforts to the work or task that am doing,most challenging is when the stock is not balancing and I have to check what cause shrinkage and to handle a difficult customer.what I enjoy most is to see customers leave the store happy.

Good

Its good working at checkers cause you get to learn more about financials and how to deal with it ,you get to communicate with customers ,there are difficult and understanding customers but and the end of the day the customer is always right,you have to understand and know your. we have good team skills but most of the time you have to be careful about passwords,do not give anybody your pass word cause that can put you into serious trouble. The hours we work are normal and we get to get two days off in a week and weekend off one month. What I enjoy most is having a good customers services towards the customer, the customer must leave the store with a happy attitude,so that he/she can come back again to be helped by me. The most challenging aspect of the job when you meet up with customers who deal with fraud, and when the money you made the whole day doesn't balance the trial balance. t

Good

I'm a friendly person who always eager to learner and love to help where I can. Working with other people helps a lot because you will know when you making mistakes, i love sales because you will meet different characters daily e.g angry, happy, moody, difficult, and kind customers, I need to know how to deal with them make sure they get what they want. Being a team leader or working in a team makes anyone elses job easier. I really enjoy working in a place where you will find an employer that is able to communicate with employees.

Pros: i have started working at checkers through learnership which is NQF LEVEL 2 Wholesale and Retail Operation this qualification contains the following, customer service, receiving, administration, merchandising and cashier. through that course i managed to work in every department in the store.
Cons: i work hard and always on time but still don't get recognition, i don't know how people get promotion at work but since i have started working there no one got promoted. thats the reason i need a change

Good skill

I am a healthy hardworking, self motivated loving person orientated, completed a diploma in travel and tourism, diploma in Microsoft office ensuring good team work and at the end the job is done....meeting new challenges..

Good start up

A typical working day at checkers is like any other retail. You go in with your head held high and ready for work. Relationship with my co-workers is highly important to me,because in the retail industry team work is what gets it going. The number one and important thing I've learned is how to treat customers and communicate with them. I also learnt how the receiving and delivery process works,the scanning system and the stock take procedure. What i enjoy most is meeting all the different clients even though some a difficult at time...but it comes the territory. The most challenging aspects about the job is that,come month end the store is very busy and we're all running around from one customer to the next helping them out. Another aspect is pressure that comes from management.

Pros: Great opportunity on learning about how the retail industry operates.
Cons: Always on your feet and long working hours.

Excellent learning curve

the company experience was great as it allowed myself as the employee to grow within and to remain stagnant. i started off as a cashier to cash office clerk , pricing clerk, data capturer, stock admin, and receiving admin. with the experience again i was successful to be a trainee manager. incompletion of the checkers management training scheme i was appointed branch admin manager. the working hours are very long and time dedication. you get involved with everyday communicating with customers and staff queries.

Excellent in learning new thing, fast to learn

From my previous job I worked five days a week sometime six days. My co-workers we were like friends, respecting one another. The most important thing I have learnt is to work with customers . I enjoyed the relationship I had with customers , spending time helping . Most challenging aspects of the job is when working slow.
