I am dealing with planning daily activities, organising and delegating employees on what to do. I've learned that managing people is a difficult thing due to their attitude and their phase when coming to tackling of task. The most challenging thing is for not meeting deadline .

Great experience

It's great work at the company. Each day is not the same as the amount of work varies from day to day & time to time. Sometimes it's fine working with my colleagues but then there are days when they can be a pain. I've learnt to manage people as well as manage the department. What I enjoy most is providing the clients with good customer service.

Pros: Working hours is good
Cons: If you work extra hours it's not appreciated

Excellent learning opportunity

I have been a pharmacist with my current employer and I have the opportunity to be a manager of a dispensary. I have had exposure to managing staff including staff forecasting and staff costs. I manage the budget of my store and I am accountable for financial and operational targets within my dispensary.

Normal day

In early, planning the day, pulling sale figures, share plan with team for the day and delegating duties and informing where we stand as a business. Coaching, leading and following up. Floor walk. Tie up with training personal/coaches. Admin follow up. Planning for next day. Cashing up. Closing up.

Great Learning Curve

A day work is primarily based on giving good customer service, attracting and enticing them, being friendly to customers and being visible on the shop floor in my full uniform. Authorizing for any price errors or promotional problems at the Point Of Sale, Supervising the staff and line management. I've learnt how to lead and manage people, how to delegate work and how to deal with stakeholders and analyzing income statements and all.

Cons: Difficult finding transportation to work
