Researcher and software developer

I do research under cyber security and software development using programming language such as python, PHP and html. The people working within CSIR are generally wonderful people to work with, good intentions of doing significant, valuable work CSIR is heading in the right direction. The challenges in general, I would say that been given large amount of work such as rapid application development. but I've learned new programming languages which I did not learn on my academic years such as python and PHP.I enjoyed working on such a competent areas like this where we work on solving real life problems using computing skills. E.g web and software development and IT support technician.

Pros: great opportunity for growing in my career through learning new things
Cons: working during my home time sometimes

Hard worker anf fast learner

I am currently working as a Laboratory Technician at Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). I have experience in tissue culture, cleaning and sterilization of glassware, disposal of hazardous waste, maintenance and calibration of equipment as well as procurement of laboratory consumables. I also have a certificate in Practical Microbiology and have experience in preparation of media, egg pasteurization, product development and shelf studies and enumeration of bacteria. I am also computer literate with certificates in Microsoft office. This experience gave me an opportunity to work closely with a team of researchers and helped me to understand the importance of good laboratory practices. I am sure I will carry over the same enthusiasm and skills while working at your institution. Attached is my curriculum vitae and application form. Looking forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, Priscilla Hare

Pros: good laboratory practices.

Different working focus

CSIR is a research organization and working here has taught me a lot about research. I've learned that research is not done for only for health related topic. The culture here differs from cooperate, the work is more focused. My challenge working for the CSIR has been trying to apply my experience in the environment, had to understand thee environment and learn to be part of the team.

Pros: Opportuning of working in IT research environment
Cons: growth opportunities for fixed jobs
