Excellent learning curve, beign given the chance to proof myself and educate myself further

I started at Denel as a Junior technician on Gyros and was given the opportunity to study and become a Project manager in the navigational field, I work closely with ARMSCOR and Denel Land Systems

Pros: No further opportunities available for the next few years.

Good experience

Working is high pressure. I learn a lot there how to work with customers, collogues and management. I also learned how to plan quantify and deliver projects on time. The most challenging part of my job is to think outside the box to solve difficult problems.

Good systems integration experience and knowledge of the local Defence industry

Denel is a good company to acquire skills in systems engineering and technology management. The company has highly skilled engineers who are passionate about their work and committed to excellence. The trouble is that the business processes to support the engineering capability are outdated and often slow down the engineering activities.

Good experience if you want to work toward being a programmer

Am currently working as a cnc operator and I have learned to fill up paper work, so that we can account for every product Also learned to work as a team and what ever poletic you find at work don't entertain them, do what to came for and go work

The amount of technical knowlege I have gained offer the years.

The working conditions and the working area was outstanding.There were times that you had deadlines to be meet and you were asked to work overtime but that was no issue.It was a really a great company.

Great opportunity for up skilling

A typical work day involves managing progress of departments activities and reporting therof. Making and reviewing decisions made to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the department. Regular stakeholder engagement in order to better understand how to service them and to empower them with the real status of their requirements. Most challenging part of the job is the above because often stakeholders don’t understand supply chain processes. My most enjoyable part if the job is coming up with effective strategies to that work to support stakeholder requirements while remaining in line with company policy and procedure.
