Always a challenge

Always busy with all labour relations related matters such as misconducts, grievances and disputes. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues. I have learnt that never try to bend policies and feed people with wrong information, they will doubt and question your integrity. Engagement with people and the industrial challenges, I enjoy those parts. When consistency is not applied and rule application is compromised, then this has become a real challenge.

Pros: Great development, accountabilty and responsibility
Cons: Very flexible and easily acclimitised to adhoc conditions

Lifetime experience

Working for the department ,especially the sections I have worked in, you can not let your guard down, because you become accountable for everything you do. everybody wakes up every morning to get bread for their families, so they will do anything to save their own skin. when capturing the payments one must ensure that proper documentation is in hand and it must be scrutinized. Having a privilege to make sound decisions and overall meaningful contribution to the office is fulfilling.

Pros: learning how the different departments come together to bring about service delivery to the community
Cons: low potential growth
