Department of Health Reviews

Good working relations.

It is a great organization that allows you to work directly with clients, ensuring and building future relationships as well as maintaining current relationships. We have established great working relations that constantly allows us to put the patient first by maintaining our Platinum Ideal Clinic status within the district. I have learnt the importance of working in a team, doing more than what's expected of you, not to overwork yourself but to sharpen your skills in all positions to ensure a calm, productive team whether we have the resources or not.

Pros: Great opportunity to grow within the sub-district
Cons: Not a permanent position

Sustainable and efficient environment

It it's actually a good environment to be at but with limited authority to to get the job done quicker and proactively. The decision making making process is too long and a room to grow and be proactive is limited and the opportunity to work independently is also closed

Pros: Difficult to grow and to be promoted
Cons: Long process on decision making

Excellent learning curve

Western Cape College of Nursing Core objective of the company is the Training of Nursing Professionals in order to meet the qualifications in accordance with the South Africa Nursing Council. A typical day is the interaction between clerks and students and the liaising of academic staff to assist the students with admin and academic issues. I've gained a lot of experience in general administrative tasks, and the challenges are what makes the job very enticing. I work very well with very closely with all the role players and we work together in a team to reach the company's main objective.

Pros: great opportunity for learning
Cons: night shift
