Excellent learning curve

I am a Pr. Tech Mechanical Engineering. I worked for ELB Engineering Services as a Mechanical Engineer working on the engineering, construction and commissioning of various equipment packages on one of our big projects that being the construction of a zinc processing plant in the Northern Cape. I have been employed with ELB since October 2015. I previously worked for Alstom Power (Now known as GE Power) where I was employed as mechanical engineer in training for about two years. My roles there were as a piping technologist, packaging engineering dealing with tender documents, contracts and suppliers for specified packages. I also worked under the site technical office sent to site to provide technical support at Kusile Power Station. I worked on modifying pipe design work on

A company who assist in helping people grown in the industry

Been on this current project for nearly 9 years and my day to day activities are namely management of the team and coordinating with client and ensure budget and schedule remains in line with the project needs. There are real good relationship bond within my team and I have an open door policy soo that anyone can feel comfortable to visit my office with any type of query or problem. I have learned great deal of mange a project according to contract as well as building relationships with unions and union members. I enjoy seeing a team who worked hard together and finding solutions for problems and issues during the construction of equipment and see the final project as a huge success. The biggest challenge I have faced is managing to stay within project budget due to design failures and keeping to schedule due to labor unrest and IR issues

Good

Perfect , normal working ours. Available co workers all the time when in need. Good management always stick with their policies. Enjoyed the open plan office. I've learned to stay positive all the time and deliver hood service all the time.

Good there's a room of improvement

Good salary, good working hours. Perfect environment. Great team spiritcwith co- workers and good managers from top to bottom. Offices situated in a nearby Mall where you can do almost everything from shopping to banking. Very close with the taxi ranks and bus station for those who uses public transport. Open plan offices suitable for everyone.
