Receive approved staff requisitions from Line Manager
• Resolve issues, attend to queries and provide information to all customers • Answer and log all calls aim for first line query resolution • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to Service Centre manager or to case management for the relevant expertise within the SSU service to resolve. • Provide employee personal information related to confirmation of employment to external third party. • Update the employee personal data on the relevant system (SAP HR) upon request received (via telephone, e-mail, fax and manual paper) – anything from updating bank details, physical address, dependent removal and adding on medical aid, qualification etc. • Assisting customers (Eskom employees) in navigating on the Human Resources related systems (e.g. Employee Self Service, Employee Management Service) as well as other programmes • Administer Medical Aid and Provident fund schemes

Exprerience
At Eskom KZN-OU I am exposed in Electrical network design and construction. Electric network equipment * maintenance * commissioning * and installations of panels Breakers and structures so is updating equipment. I enjoy equipment updates and driving to sites for checking construction progress. It was challenging at first having to instruct older workers but I got used to it.
Pros: If the company has vacancies I am sure I would be absorbed as we , me and my current trainee group are the first preference in the case of vacancies
Cons: Everyday is a learning Day and everyday you have to report

My work experience
Hectic, as a system engineer especially in the boiler department. One has to oversee almost everything. From the design, construction through to commissioning. The experience is however priceless

Technology Strategy Manager
My typical work day entails engaging with people either on strategic or operational matters. I lead a research team of 400 staff and manage the Generation research portfolio. I have a wonderful relationship with co-workers as I believe in the notion that we can agree to diagree and we make decisions in the interest of the company. I love traveling and enjoying the wonders of the world which includes people, food and places.
Pros: good training and exposure. A variety of technical fields to choose from. Good company benefits
Cons: nothing to complain about. I believe I am the archietct of my own destiny and I can see a glass as either half full or half empty.

Good learning curve
I work in an environment were one learns everyday.I enjoy getting project and set target dates for completion.The company have career progression,each and every employee has an opportunity to grow.
Pros: People have a tendency of just enjoying the work without monitoring their grow and end up working longer in the same position without promotion.At the same time there is a room for group with each and every employee.

Excellent learning curve
Typical work day include assiting site in maintenance activities, reviewing and creating designs, solving aging plant issues and making sure rules and regulations are followed whether they are Eskom's or international. Relationship with co-workers differ. Some you get along with great, others not so much. Challenging aspects of the job is being capable of doing things but never getting the chance to do it. Having to check or do other peoples job because they sre not competant or they are not trusted. Very few oppertunities to expand your knowledge. Uncertainty of work.

Operation management
I am Responsible to conduct risk assessments. Attend regional non-ferrous meeting on a monthly basis. Managing security contractors. Implementing health and safety programs, Conducting security contractor training. Conducting crime awareness. Conduct investigations.
Pros: Great opportunity of learning new challenges.
Cons: Dealing more with external stakeholders like general public.

Not a stable company to work for, too many changes, no permanent position. you can only gain experience, too many managers, u can be retrenched at any moment, no growth, very little training, risky hazardous working conditions, very small salary
