I have learned alot and managed to pass my trade test
Eskom is a bug company where production is a priority and you are expected to make sure the plant runs well without any repeating of jobs due to wrong way of doing things,everyone knows their objectives therefore no one is supposed to be reminded to checj or do inspections in their respective plant,when there is measure outages we all are expected to work day and night and to assure our superior that time set will be meet.i have learnt to worker under different leaders witb different approaches.

Negotiations
I am a 31 year old young man who likes working with people, energetic and job oriented. I have experience in procurement as i worked as a buyer where i was procuring services and items that keeps the plant /organisation running. My qualities include negotiations, report writing, presenting report to tender committee, excellent communication

Procurement
 Scrutinising user request for description, specification and funding.  Coordinate the contractual strategy meeting with clients to determine the most appropriate contract structure  Evaluating process options and selecting an appropriate procurement mechanism.  Decide on the most appropriate NEC decision matrix  Compile and administrator the enquiry document  Researching and selecting a potential supplier on supplier database.  Liaise with supplier by acting as the contact person  Coordinate and facilitate the clarification meeting  Evaluating tenders financially, commercially, legally and technically.  Compiling confidential evaluation report culminating into the most viable business decision.  Identifying and recommending negotiation opportunities.

Varied learning experiences
I am a qualified mechanical engineering technician currently employed by Eskom at Ingula Power station as a mechanical maintenance technician. I have also recently completed my B-Tech degree with UNISA. Currently I am also studying towards a qualification in Project management at the University of South Africa. I am looking to expand my knowledge base, put into use all my academic skills and training, I am also looking to grow my skills, competences and experience from my current level to a higher level in this field of work. I am a very quick learner, am able to grasp concepts very quickly. I am also a very practical person, i have the ability to think very technically, approach problems in a step by step practical manner, remain calm in stressful situations and handle pressure. This I believe also gives me the ability to adapt and prosper in any working environment that requires any kind of technical abilities and leadership roles

Good
good communication skills, work better in a team, given a chance will do my best. I can also say my experience is good, working as a responsible person and grooming other young people doing doing apprenticeship.as coach I have to supervision make sure of my safety and others.

Willing to learn.
I'm the Instrumentation and control Training Technician. Maintenance good relationship with my co worker. On my daily basis work I've learned a lot based on instrumentation and control which makes me person who is willing to learn. Each and everyday my job motivate me. The most challenging things at work is to work under pressure also difficult issues with spares for the plant to operate.

Very interesting, dealing with different challenges everyday.
Currently, I work as an Assistant Officer in the Revenue & Credit Management department within Eskom, which involves finance and billing system of customer/ clients’ accounts. Providing financial applications systems maintenance is what I do on a daily basis, and hopefully I will excel as soon as I get exposure to your environment.

Day to day work
In my day to day work I am expected to place and execute contracts within specific time frame and cost allocated. In order for me to meet the expectation i have learnt to work in a team orientated environment and Lead the team and be the decision maker. What I have enjoyed most is Interaction with laborers in order to solve labour issues.

Excellent learning curve
Eskom is a good company to work for the environment Is inspiring and the workers get along very well with each other.A typical work day would start from 7:00 to 16:00 with normal daily work schedule.I have learnt a lot of things during my training with Eskom, Like inspection and maintenance of plant equipment,fault finding,procurement of spares, recommissioning of plant, attending meetings and Writing reports.
