My typical working day
My typical day means me driving to my customers. Having 3 objectives, which are to sell, sell and to sell. I do my daily checks, which i check for opportunities on their stock levels, innovative brands and substitutes for out of stocks. I put up promotions(cycles). I always leave an outlet looking in a better way then I had found it. I daily communicate with my team members with regards to new trends and ways of selling, in order to try and better myself. Every fridays we meet together in an area to do wolf packing. We promote our stocks and educate our consumers on safety and healthy ways of drinking Heineken. I love communicating with my consumers and customers, the greatest moment is placing that order according to my objectives of the day.
Pros: Sell everything available
Cons: Working long hours and weekends if needed

Great place to learn
Typical work day is one of those days i go to the office and being called for breakdown and work with my mentor. This always help with increasing our work relationship nd brainstorming together becomes easier. I have learned a lot like Think before you act, always try your best to bring everything to basic before changing/moving things. I’ve enjoyed a lot company events because it was the only time we get to socialize and know one another. Meeting deadline has always being challenging although doable sometimes the pressure increases withh each day
Pros: Lots of things to learn
Cons: Equity

Not good company
- don't value their people - there is a lot of expats in management positions - expects treat people like machines and not as humans - micro management - no trust - don't need to know much, it's all about who you know and if you can talk the talk - expats are racist towards people of colour - there are people in positions that are not able to do their job or manage people - there is a culture of fear am instability - you get hired to do something but you don't do what you get hired to do - there is no such thing as work life balance - there is no such thing as fun
Pros: None
Cons: Don't value people

Excellent place to work
place to work olagreat place to work at. I would recommend to work there if you get the opportunity. Only problem is that they hire people to get them what they need you for and then they cut the staff when everything is in place
Pros: Great opportunity for growth
Cons: N/a

Growth
Working at Heineken is great but there are no really room for growth. The work is very hectic and still manageable - I look other a great Team the really adores me and gave me the nickname of "Sister boss". I know the different kind of staff members and how to deal with them individually. What I enjoyed the most in being a Manager is going with my staff on customer visitors assisting them to sort out their difficult customers. Pricing increase as the credit limits needs to be reviewed for a permanent increase and during peak season and customers don't always qualify for a higher increase.
Pros: Company supply lunch free to the staff
Cons: No growth

Best place to learn resilience
Good day The main character of my job is selling Heineken products to independent key accounts. Negotiate business deals and plans to achieve growth and sales targets. Develop and mamagement of customer relations. Monitor competitors activities and price management are also very key to our business success. Team work and continous learning in terms of trends are probable the biggest learnings in my years at Heineken. The timely distribution ,out of stocks as well as maintaing customer expectations are my biggest challenges on this role. Kind Regards
Pros: Experience and exposure to fmcg industry
Cons: Working weekends ,public holidays and sometimes late at night in dangerous South Africa township life .

Excellent company to work for with lots of opportunities for growth.
Great company to work for and has achieved substantial growth in market share ( 7%)in one year of its existence. Great work culture with high energetic people that are more a family. Lot of pressure as it USA requirement that sales targets must be met monthly, quarterly and yearly. Most challenging about the job is to work with minimal budget compared to our competitors as this result in them getting first preference in situation whee we are targeting prime spots in an outlet for an example.
Pros: Great opportunity for growth if you are a high performer.
Cons: Very long working hours and sometimes it includes weekends as well.
