How is it like to work in the stock control deparment

I work in the stock control department where by we monitor the movement of stock and try to prevent ant stock losses by doing stock takes and stock tracing

Pros: it is a nice environment to work in working at your own pace with great opportunity for promotion
Cons: working 9 hours or sometimes 10 per day

Ability to handle and work in a stressfull environment.

Labour and Industrial relations management.Diploma Currently study Logistics and Warehouse management at SA College. Security manager at Imperial Retail logistics. Part of the team to achieve ISO 20015. More than 7 years manager position.

Excellent learning curve

- Your day is normally busy and needs you to be at the top if your game at all times. - I have the best relationship with my co-workers in all of my working experience. - I have to just do your job and you will stay out of trouble. - I like being busy at all times and solving problems. - The most challenging aspects of the job is people. Everyone is different so what you do and say especially how you approve a situation is very important to build good relations.

Learning curve

stressfull job. Deadlines are met but no appreciation. Giving your best and making sure production are on time but yet no permanent positions are given.

Offload truck in the mornings Book.in the daily trucks Start picking the STOCK for the next day delivering Make sure STOCK is not expire before going out to the customers Make sure all the invoices is.their Make.sure trucks is being check proper

Great learning industry

in this industry we work with receiving, storage, picking and distribution of stock. the department that i am working at is a mother body of this company. our job is to make sure that the receiving side is balanced and there are n shortages, picking is running smooth. the stock is not damaged or short dated before we send it out for deliveries. it is a great department that is challenging and you learn may things within it. my co- workers are easy people to work with cause they are team players whom their main focus is to archive a goal at the end of business day. the challenging aspects is shortages cause we need to investigate what caused those shortages.

Excellent learning place

There is no place for Growth in the company some of the people have been in the same position for 10+ years. there is no communication, yet they let you train with a few people so there is always a back up, being able to get knowledge in every department of transport and warehousing is great but you wont be able to get into a higher position at Imperial.

Exellent leaner and detemine

do enjoy my work , I have great relationship with my staff. Learn to work with different people and communicate with clients. Have more responsibility .what's challenging most is when the task are not completed.

Limited

its very difficult to grow more than i have done since opportunities are given to new recruits and managers. the most difficult part of it is when opportunities limited to those willing to grow and have high potential like us.

Cons: normal working hours unless if requested to work overtime
