My day consisted of opening the branch. preparing treasury Cash and atm cash. then preparing my workstations cash and other items, stamps for verification, UV lights ect, signing on the systems as we operated with two systems one for telling the other for collections and service related queries. servicing the clients in the line till the end of day and then following closing procedure by cashing up and handing in my paper work that goes with the collections and enquirers related work.
Pros: great opportunity to multi skill yourself
Cons: long working hours, as well as little to no growth, due to constant restructuring above thus leading to placements in the branch of effected personnel. this meant no openings in higher positions or even lateral moves.

Excellent service
I work at nedbank as a business development officer for 3years. I am a very hard working employee who is so hamble ,respecting and who work beyond the call of duty. I give the best customer service, I love the challenge, I copy working as a team, because I believe that working as a team can help to achieve more.

Disciplined industry. Perfect for entry level
Nedbank is one of SA's largest banks, and it's a pleasure to work for such a big company. I am at the retail side of the organisation - the most challenging and exciting. I provide customer-facing services daily. My scope of work entails General banking, Cash handling, Generating sales leads, and Administration services.

Your positive approach and the positive attitude very important
I enjoy working with co - workers, I have the good relationship as it the good for company in terms of productivity because we have the common goal to achieve the company objectives. I have learned that you need other people to make it in life even at work you need other people because there a lot to learn. very challenging working with difficult/ having different view client but finding solution at the end of the day it is satisfying. I learn new things every day and I work with people with vision

Challenging but exciting
Working in Nedbank is exciting as I am not limited to only procurement activities but I get to do supplier risk management including cyber and privacy. BEE accreditation is one of the critical things I have to monitor every month. The biggest challenge is the risk management that comes with adding on a supplier on to the database. Your need to screen it using the available information and if need be engage them and the user departments to ascertain what we are getting from them. Arranging the risk assessment documents to be completed and signed thereafter is another element of it and tracking the agreed mitigation controls and reporting to the Risk manager

Uplifting Sales and the staff morale
Oversee the 3 branches,one main big branch and 2 small branches. Good coaching and mentoring skills. Supportive and an open door policy. Have learned not always give instructions before consulting and making sure the proper clear training was provided. I enjoy working with people seeing my bankers reaching their targets, talking to clients helping, retaining clients. Providing world class customer service and educating clients. Mentoring, coaching staff as well.

A strong worker with good work ethics that always delivers on tasks.
Start the day with planning for day ahead. Engage stakeholders, meetings, staff engagements, client engagements. The organisational culture is good and operates within the values of the company. Strong focus on development and recognition. Coming from a science background I had to adapt quickly to work and grow in a bank. I did so successfully due to the steep learning curve and nurturing culture of the bank. I enjoyed achieving and exceeding targets, collaborating with others and stakeholder engagement. Most of all I enjoyed coaching and developing staff to grow and add more value to the team and organisation.

Cons: Been in the industry for long and would like a different challenge.

Excellent Leadership
at Nedbank your job is secure as they do not retrench however find different ways of utilising current staff in order to obtain sustainability for the services to be provided even under the though conditions our country and economy is going through.
