Assessing Affordability

To identify potential profit by assessing credit applications with a view to granting credit within acceptable risk parameters and so contribute to the achievement of Nedbanks strategic priorities. Work hand in hand with Homeloans operation teams and Originators teams. Retail space calculating affordability based on client’s declared income. Systems used Credit Assessment Tool, Netconnect (bureau), Staffware, Audit trail, E-prop (Valuations), Banking platform and CMS To evaluate risk by accessing data received and making a credit decision by assessing an application (testing affordability) which will lead to an approval, decline, referral, approved in principal or lesser offer in order to minimise risk and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Excellent learning curve

I am a hardwhard working and very obsessed with sales..i am looking for a company in which I can advance my self personally. I also want to learn new development strategies. I am hard worker and diligent in everything I do. I am very punctual. I am consistent in everything I do.

Excellent Integrated Experience

Great exposure to all corporate functions. Development of relationships between different mind sets and cultures. My typical day is interacting with different business units and get to what is top of mind and discussing the appropriateness for social media. I truely love my team and everything about marketing. Being open-minded and hard-working definitely improve your chances for growth and sharing ideas and solutions foster relationship and respect. Selling yourself and your ideas can be challenging, especially to Exco.

Learning experience

Working for Nedbank has been a learning experience. It is a nice bank though a typical day includes a lot of paperwork. It has created opportunities for growth as we work under pressure and we are able to refine some skills that we hold such as working quicker and more efficiently.

Cons: Long hours too much paper work and admin

Excellent career growth and development

Managing risk by ensuring strict policy and procedure adherence .Monitoring and managing exception report. Managing and providing guidance to the department through through transparent and approachable attitude. Very good relationship with co- workers and all stakeholders. I have learnt that communication is the main key. An important objective in the work place is to reach a common goal by working together with all stakeholders (cross - function). I enjoy interacting with people internally and externally taking each day as my first day at work. Developing, couching, transferring skills to subordinates, colleagues and junior staff. Maintaining good relationship with sales and external stakeholders.
