It is a financial industry striving for excellence. Their priority is excellent client service.It offers investments,transactional banking,corporate,commercial,retail banking for their clients. Its one of the top banks in South Africa. Its growing its business throughout Africa and international.The companies values allow for staff to work in a healthy working invoronment, it values its employees. I have learned a lot about client service and finance. It was very challenging when no mistakes were expected.

I am very self focus and problem solving person stay always focus to do my best in the company and go to the extra mile just to deliver my best that's me

Great working for a company like RMB on contract

RMB was a great company to work for. I was on contract for six month and stayed one extra month. Work and play is their motto. I got fairly along with everyone but I preferred to keep to myself. I still speak to some of my former colleagues a year after I had left, so I think they were happy to work with me. I learned about the KYC reviewing process and investment banking as well as FATCA, CRS, POPI and other acts. I enjoyed the perks and how friendly the staff members were from day one. I had lost my son and then my mother so it become difficult to cope with my loses so it made work different or difficult and I had to resign to recoup.

Cons: People skills needs improvements (favouritism)

It has been an excellent learning curve for me

I love working for Rand Merchant Bank, i love how ive learnt so much about the bank, administration work that goes into making sure the Bank is efficient for its clients. i love the respect they have for the employees and its clients. i love the corporate culture they provide. i have a good relationship with my co workers and my managers. i love the fact that i am requested to work with different department and learn different systems which has enabled me to be upskilled. My challenge is that i am currently on a contract. i love the fact that it has flexible working hours.

Okay place to work

Not a great place to work in unless you're white. The level of structural racism, belittlement and the toxicity of the corporate cultural doesn't promote independent thinkers. You either play along and fall in line with the old-school thinkers or you're considered a threat to the status quo.

Learning and development coordinator

Hard working, Multi Skills, respecting other colleagues and will enjoy waking up in the morning, Learnt to be responsible and enjoying to be independent, Challenging was when people not in time for the workshops

Amazing experience gained in the IT, Agile and Scrum

Project Manager in the operarionalizing the Software Asset Management of the RMB Estate Project Governance and documentation creation, re-inventing the wheel as such Amazing team in the SAM space

Pros: Amazing experience gained in all levels of Project Management and IT infrastructure
Cons: Consultants are not treated as part of the RMB family and are excluded in a lot of interactions
