I have learn to trust my tools

I enjoy working for my current company because from the first minute to the last minutes in a day, you can measure you productivity close to 95% accurate. You can also see where you need to improve and where you did very well because of the system that is in place. Lean manufacturing and six sigma has also improve my skill because of the project that I have conducted, hence on my Review summary i said "I have learn to trust my tools"

A good environment to work

The working hours starts from am to pm. In the morning the team congregate for 10 minutes to go through yesterday's plans and what is expected for the day, where there are deviations, problem solving analysis principles are implemented to find solutions. The relationship with my colleagues is great, I like to work with others and learn from them. What i have learnt working with others is to understand that we are different individuals with different views and need to respect each person. It does not matter the level of your academics, if you need to implement a project, involve the end user and make them feel part of the solution. I enjoy to see the projects that i have worked on improving the inefficiencies in the company. Able to engage with different departments in the organisation. The most challenging aspects of the job is getting support from the management.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent training was received

-We receive a safety talk in the morning before work begins. Straight after the safety talk we proceed to work. We go straight into mechanical work such as machining shafts that are required for repairs or for production, aligning of belts or chains, assemblies of machinery and installation, hydraulic components and pneumatic systems. Safety is always a factor at anything we do. -Colleagues at work enjoy working with me as I am accurate in what I do, I take the lead in tasks and make critical and crucial decisions. I enjoy working with people as a team. -I learned all skills needed in the mechanical field subjected to fitting and turning. -What I enjoyed the most was learning and coming into contact with challenges in the field and overcoming those challenges. -The most challenging aspects of the job was when I have to make crucial decisions in a small period of time to meet the deadlines.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn and be recognised
Cons: Salary was bit low unfortunately
