Excellent learning curve and so rewarding

I am a hard worker and fast learner. My interest is and has always been in electrical engineering. I was an Apprentice Electrician at Transnet for more then 2 years. I’ve learned to be efficient and work under pressure. It has given me a range of practical exposure. I have voluntarily worked part-time shifts at B’z Electrical Services to gain more practical experience during the completion of my apprenticeship at Transnet School of Engineering. I was tasked with responsibilities of domestic installations, maintenance on machinery, fault finding and motor testing. This experience has been extremely insightful and educational. I have completed my trade test as an electrician on 10 July 2019 and obtained my red seal certificate. This job is sometimes very challenging but most rewarding.

Pros: Great exposure to the electrical field and the best trainers for guideance and support .
Cons: Working with diffent types of scenarios and finding ways to solve each one individually.

Environmental allows one to grow professionally and opportunity to study further is presented.

Environmental is quite hectic and one gets to interact with internal and external stakeholders. I have learned how to be patient and be a good listener as well. I enjoy working with people and the most challenging aspects of my role is supporting more than two Executives. This has taught me how to prioritize.

Pros: Opportunity to learn more about the Division
Cons: Stress management
