Great learning curve

It is a good company to work for especially for domes who is more of an independent thinker. I have learnt a great deal of organizing skills from the position. It needs a self starter not someone who will need supervision

Good learning expriencial training

I have learned that when you work with people of different ethical you need to be calm. The challenge was that since I worked with locomotives and it's mechanical most of the time I have to put more effort . My working environment that is full of male adults they have shown me the work they are full of jokes I have enjoyed being with them.

Good to work in the company, challenging and need safety mindset

Good working relationship. Challenges are more when you have incident and you have to come up with new plans. Learned patience and working under pressure

Most challenging side of my job is our clients which at times don’t know what they want.

I am a team leader and relationship with my colleagues is always great . Working with multi displine projects at a go and these projects are mega projects. Using my skills as an experience project manager . Working on studies over the period of two years going through all project phases (pre feasibility and feasibility studies and not able to excite because of executives management delaying the approval of the final phase of the project, it is frustrating.

Electrical Maintenance

My CV review I have started to working for Transnet since 1999, doing my training for electrical fitter in Koedoespoort (pta) where I have learned the basics about electrical engineering and also about the electrical locomotives and rotating machines. After qualifying as an electrical fitter artisanship I got a position to commission the electrical locomotives in Bayhead then Transwerk Durban I started to work there in June 2002 as the testing officer testing loco prior refurbishing and also after refurbishing is completed, testing of frames, components, valves, fault-finding and brake testing. In June 2006 I then got promoted to work in fault room Ermelo now coal-line but, I first started to work as the preparation fitter and later promoted as a faulty. (Attending to locomotives failure in the depot and also in section).
