Working at Standard Bank
I have been working for Standard Bank for 4 years now. Every day is challenging and most definitely a learning curve. Standard Bank is a big organization and quite a fast pace working environment. I have learned to adapt to change quite quickly and deliver milestones at quite a fast and effective manner. Since I started working for Standard Bank ,I have gained a lot of experience and training. I have advanced from a Project Administrator, to a Subject Matter Expert in Contract Analysis and Compliance Management. I enjoy analysis as well as the legal and financial part of contracts. The biggest challenge is managing resources.

Excellent learning curves
I work in a diverse cultural office with people who are extremely talented. I have an excellent relationship with my co-workers as they love and respect me and I them. I have learnt to be the best with the focus of the customer always. I enjoy making people's dreams come true. Not being able to satisfy every single customer every single day is a huge challenge.

A typical work day
- A typical work day for me is effectively a Jack of All Trades in the Credit Risk Management space at the moment. After proposing to discard my job desription and focus on strategy and analytics i've seen a difference - Your relationship with co-workers-Not so great, I only liaise properly with my boss - What you have learnt-A degre or qualification does not determine your competency but it sets your salary - What you enjoy most-Analysing data, strategising, Resolving daily quiries - The most challenging aspects of the job-Time Management
Pros: the freedom to choose what you believe you are strong at and being allowed to do exactly that
Cons: Salary gaugers depend on years of work, qualifications, instead of competences

Good Exposure
Heavily involved in mapping, implementing and improving processes in my department. Also act as project manager in some cases and ensure that projects are implemented timely.

Standardbank
Very busy environment. We serve at least 28 countries across africa and the United Kingdom. Its is a huge learning curve and very diverse. The culture and atmosphere in the bank is great. I enjoy working with the people.

Excellent learning curve
I have learnt to multitask. My colleagues are friendly. It's the same thing daily. Get to work assist customers telephony then leave. I have also learnt to be a fast learner. Learn a lot of things in a little time.

Customer contanct center for vehicle and asset finance
A Typical day a work is with the operating hours of 08:00 to 17:30 from Monday to Friday and from 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays. Each consultant handles a minimum of at least 80 calls a day with is often higher due to a high call volume for dealerships. The most challenging aspect about our job is when procedure has a negative impact on customer experience and satisfaction. It becomes a challenge when some task which can be performed immediately to help the customer are not allowed be done as it does not follow specific procedure which delays the outcome of the clients request.My relationship with my co-workers is great because of the corporate culture instilled into us from the 1st day we join the company. What i have enjoyed most is the ability to effect positive change in the banks belief in the eyes of our client through excellent customer experience .

Growth
I enjoy the relationship that I have with the RoA and the colleagues. Everyday its a challenge, we take each day as it comes. As a person you can only to this much because you need to look after your health as well and ensure work life balance and by stressing you won't be able to achieve the desired results. I believe as a person now and again you need a change a different atmosphere, liaise with different person and not be comfortable of were you are.
