I Letele Mpokiseng worked as a Disaster Management volunteer in Alfred Nzo from 28 April 2013 to 31 December 2016, *Duties Office work Community awareness Compiling reports Risk assessment Conducting Disaster risk management awareness Field worker Responsible for managing the control room to assist with the control room functions. Fire and Rescue services work I enjoyed working here because helping the community was always in my dreams and as a career that I always wanted to do, we had a very good relationship with my colleagues and my managers we worked as a team , I have learned a lot especially on how to deal with the clients that are unsatisfied by the poor service delivery bt we always reachout to them and they always leave satisfied and also how to make them happy at a time of misery and hopeless, I hope working in a new company will add a new skills and a new experience in my life. Thank you

Leaning to work with different kinds of people
attending incoming and outgoing calls .taking messages in the absence of any personnel and give them in their availability.attending or taking care of all customers and direct them to the requested offices. working as a team gave me communication skills .working as a first point in a big company like this give me confidence i learnt more problem solving ,attending complaints . its my pleasure to assist all customers with professional manner by putting clients priority first.last may challenge is not getting working material or tools on time.

I am hard work even beyond normal hours(overtime), work as team, iam co-operate
my compony is big and have lot of work to do as it is a DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, i am working haed, work as team, i learnt a lot as we work with different departments and out siders e.g Service providers, we give good service at the right time, i enjoy working with people who co-operate and Manager who is supportive e.g give opportunity to learn ( challenges from clients where i dont' have solution i give it to manager, then i take it from there on how to over come that challenge next time. the most challenging at work it's where you depend from other departments/ unit with the informatin and you don't get it on time while you requested it maybe for report purpose, audit that is the most chalenge and lost of information misplacing
Pros: i would like to see my my self at leadership level
Cons: I am able to work under pressuere, even long hours if i have to, i am hard worker. to work with people it is always good but the challenges alway there, e.g late submissions

Excellent learning curve
I have been working as an Environmental health Practitioner for the past 5 yars. I have always enjoyed being a field worker ad found it adventbjvvvurous and gggsgsHVGYuqg
Pros: Working for a local government allows one to grow with minimal supervision and allows one to work independently with integrated stakeholders. Allows one to build a relationship with the community members as I was working as an Environmental Health Practitioner and a field worker.
Cons: In term of promotions, there is minimal growth.

Excellent learning curve
Alfred Nzo District Municipality is in the rural areas and it is a very nice place to work in, its staff is made up of young and career driven people who are very down to earth. i have a very good relationship with my co-workers we are like a family. I have learnt a lot from the Human Resources department because as an intern they let you do everything so that you will be familiar with the work.

it is nice to work to this company and i have learn a lot and i enjoy working with different people with their different characters although sometimes it is difficult to deal with clients at the same time it taught me how to learn fast as i am eager to learn

Excellent Learning Curve
I work as a Manager Council Support responsible for the legislature.I am responsible for the Traditional Leadership and Councillor welfare and all the engagements with the municipal stakeholders. I also manage the unit of Public Participation and Petitions which is a direct link to the communities of the municipality. I have good relations with my Superior and subordinate. I have learned that there is nothing that the communities enjoy more than being given feedback , transparency and their needs being prioritised. I enjoy the direct contact with stakeholders the most The most challenging aspects of my job is advising the principals on the unpopular but legislative processes
Pros: Learnt so much on how to be a seasoned leader
