Working at Bokgoni
My workday is filled with adventure and engagement of numerous stakeholders related to mining. I thoroughly enjoy the role I am playing currently as a Section Manager. I was appointed in the role at the end of 2016. The mine is inherent of risks including water, sponcom and highwall/low wall failures. It has been an interesting year managing these risks. I believe I have gathered quite a stretch of experience in the time I have spent in the role; let alone the rest of my career. My working relationship with my colleagues I would say is proffessional with situational leadership proactised extensively by myself. I have learnt how to manage an array of types of characters in the year that I have been in the role. The most challenging aspect of my role would be the risks associated with it, which are Sponcom and Slope Stability

Best experience I've ever had
Most roads in South Africa has speed humps and stop signs but it's never the end of one's journey but to slow down and pass slowly,same applies with my work experience, it has never been easy but through working hard and committed to my work I've learned a lot,safety as the priority, it's always good to meet the target of production but it's another blessing to achieve it without any injury sustained, accuracy and time management always having them at the back of my mind that company is not charity for relaxing but business for production,Anglo Platinum has taught me exactly that.

Career opportunities
Worked as an engineering artisan for 6 years responsible for day to day maintenance of engineering equipment, I then went over to join safety department as a safety officer, ensuring compliance on organizations operating procedures and improvements by inspections and auditors.

All information is included in my CV.in short I'm a hard worker and can co-operate with the gang. Im cn work overtime and standby without any supervision. I can manage myself and attend breakdowns accordingly

I'm willing to relocate for more exposure and experience. Im a hard worker and I can cope working under pressure. I can manage to work under no supervision and attend all breakdowns accordingly. To any challenges, I take it as a great way of gaining experience.

Adapt easy to change and quick learner.
Currently working in the coal mine industry as a fitter foreman. My department is responsible for the installation and maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, ventilation fan's and conveyor systems. As the foreman of the department I interact a lot with the production department and get along well with them.
Pros: Large global company with a lot of benefits.
Cons: Mining industry in South Africa are challenged at the moment.

Anglo American is a leader in Enterprise Development and experience gained is vast and invaluable
It has been great worrking for the Company like Anglo American with their vast exposure and experience in the mining industry. The drive on enterprise development at Anglo American is huge an having had the chance to work with them as the catalyst when it comes to enterprise development an an advaned model to the field has imparted a lot of knowledge. The expertise in the company with with regards to enterprise development is without doubt first class and have learned a lot in my 5 years with the company. Given a chance, i will be glad to share my experinces and knowlege with anyone.
Pros: Learning is vast and experience gained is beyond reproach.
Cons: Working in the mining industry has been difficult given the political cloud around it.

I have been engage in a number of activities in Mining indusrty
I have run a section that is having 800+ employees, I have learn to deal with different kind of employees with different back ground, since we are in ER of which include taking discipline to employees that are not coming to work, under influence of liquor, and theft underground, I have learn that people are very careless and very unfair to the company, month end are very critical because employees are having money and they don't come to work sometime coming sick leave that are more than 6 days, my relationship with my co workers is very perfect and I enjoy working with them because they gave me advises and support every time I need it and I have learnt a lot from them
Pros: I have been acting as HRO on a vacant position
Cons: there is a time where by you need to work more hours to finish the work or to make sure that your section is running
