Like developing new and improves systems and procedures to make it more effective . I have been 20 years within the survey, evaluation and planning department. Worked with gold and platinum. Worked on deep level mining, conventional and board and pillar mining.

Anglo Gold Ashanti metallurgical processing plant

It is a heavy production daily duties company that is very demanding and constantly developing. One spend unlimited working hours focusing on proper running of the process, Gold extraction metallurgical process, wherein process controller needs to be hands on and focused at all times. Operators are friendly and report continuously on the groud based process updates from the manual reports on an hourly basis per shift. It is thrilling and interesting due to different challenges that needs technical problem solving skills that are sharp and versatile following new experiences everyday. I enjoy month end reporting schedule when all went well and i get to reflect perfect key performance indicators to all senior management and stakeholders in monthly presentations.

I arm energetic, outspoken and sell driven

Supervise and building a group to reach production through safety standard and motivate a group of people I was working with to reach projected target. I have learned that people are different, and they different skill to offer when motivated positively. I have learned that each day has it's on challenged. I enjoy working as a metallurgist and reaching my target setvgor me. Conflict among team, if not resolved it becomes a challenge that need different approaches.

MINE OVERSEER –STOPING, DEVELOPING, SHAFTS AND ANCILLARY ONLY MINE OVERSEER ON SHAFT MANAGING THE GENERAL DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES REACH TARGETS FOR THE LAST 18 MONTHS, EVERY MONTH EXCELLEINT TEAM OF SHIFTBOSSES AND MOTIVATED.

An eye opener and mind open to work for the company

Maintenance as a fitter and turner.I have a good relationship with co-workers and supervisors. I have learnt so much in terms of proper maintenance when coming to machinery.I enjoy being praised after doing a good job and getting paid at the end of the month.Not getting the machinery fixed is the most challenging aspects of the job.

Pros: working at the company it will be a great opportunity and I wish to be part of the company
Cons: I will be able to transfer the skill that I have and up lift the company.

Great opportunity to learn more

Conduct regular spend analysis to identify savings or cost avoidance opportunities. Reviewing of Specifications and Scope of work on contract to see if there can be improvements to reduce cost. Conduct Market Research to test market on competitiveness of our contracts. Working with different suppliers and our colleagues from business units is fulfilling as lots is lentbfrom their knowledge and experience. Working on cost modelling to come up with scientific ways of reducing cost when preparing enquiries it's what fascinate me the most.

Challenging environment and learning curve

A good relationship with my colleagues is the best one needs because we need each other on duty. I have learned that when on duty one has to perform well everyday. It helps by rejoicing any incidents. Every day we get the job cuts from our foreman. It can be breakdowns or maintenance on Electrical appliances. I enjoy doing my work with no regrets or taking chances on safety. Environment by itself is challenging and Incorporated.
