I have worked in the financial and banking sector for over 17 years, now specialising and in charge of banking-level cybersecurity and security controls. A significant amount of my time is apportioned to preventing threats to our data-centre as well as the protection of client data, financial records and the assets under our management. I started with a networking background and moved up through the ranks by specialising in both open-source and proprietary systems. Security always interested me, and our company’s security controls are often scrutinised and regularly audited by the major banks and the FSCA. We were recently responsible for the preparation and certification of our IT systems according to ISO 27001 standards. I am an internationally qualified practitioner.

Over worked and no acknowledged

Mymyhgdguummy work Start's Start's at 09:00 because I work in the offshore dept.. Er deal with clients from o overseas mainly Guernsey. I check the daily emails from clients

Pros: No promotion
Cons: Normal hours 09:00am to 18:00pm get home around 20:00pm

I love working with people.

I enjoy my work, I work in a very relaxed department which is Offshore. We deal with FM and Overseas clients that invest in JTC and Guernsey. Each one has their own work that they do but we learn each others work just in case the person goes on leave or is off sick. We are on a new system that sometime does not work correctly when pulling reports, but that is a learning curve for us.

Pros: Good working enviroment
Cons: we dont get all the holiday's that SA gets and the hours are different.

Excellent learning experience

I am working with a team of highly skilled individuals that push you and challenge you Technical abilities which makes it such a pleasure working with and this creates a high moral within the environment

Salary expectations not met

I started within the Call Center and within a year I was promoted but no change to salary even though I would be taking on almost triple amount of work as compared to my previous position. There's more horizontal promotion opportunities than there are vertical ones. Overall I have had a great and positive experience within the company but as a Mother of 2 I do think with my 7 years of experience It's harder to accept a single digit salary still.

Data quality support

Processing authorizing and QCEE alll day long request make sure that everything has been processed accurately and also consider meeting cut off time. My experience can help in eliminating errors and I'm a team player.
