Benefits for thier employees

I am very worried about our Company for not providing thier loyal employees with benefits and not employed as a permanent employee. I am working everday based on site being responsible with the overall project and providing a very good quality finishing for the product we build to certify our client, and not alone with a team of external subcontractors and the Company employees and making sure that we finish the project in time with good quality and to work on site with a good team and understanding workers who secrifies to leave thier family during the weekend and public holidays to push the job to be done in time it is realy a big challenge but only to certify the client and our bosses and at the same time we enjoying and proud of what we do on site

Pros: Working for Calgro it is a very big opportunity for me expecially for giving me a chance of being responsible in looking after the big staff on site and building a large project
Cons: Very difficult for me working far as i travel from Pretoria west to Soweto everyday with my own costs and secrificing working the weekend and public holidays without any compansation

Excellent

Working at calgro was exciting,though I wasn’t getting paid but .I got stipend from ceta.I have learned alot from that company I was not only contributing to the area of inspecting the work that has been carried out whether it is in a same standard with the one in the drawing specifications and also ensuring that all workers adhere to the safety regulations that has been presented to them. ,I was taught how to do things with my own hands,for example how to mix concrete,lying bricks,installing geysers,tiles,painting,grouting,ceiling Calgro has indeed taught me a lot of things,even the employees were good to me, they were willing to help and teach me things and some tricks,it was indeed a pleasure working there.Even when my mentor Mr Phillip Tsatsi when he wasn’t around I even forget his not there Cos when I struggle with something everyone there was willing to assist.

Very good experience

Very challenging at first to operate site alone but i have learned a lot and most difficult part of it is to work on local and while you pushing production they just decide to strike and have the delays on the program

Pros: Good salary but no benefits
Cons: Working on holidays and weekends no overtime payment
