Work Experience

I work from home and is a very disciplined worker. My day will start with attending to all my e-mails, as we are an international company I am responsible for completing all regulatory registrations for Medical devices in various ROSSA ( Rest of Sub Sahara African) Countries. I schedule my weekly meetings with my colleague in Johannesburg to ensure all Health and Safety and Environmental matters is addressed. I document various procedures for Quality, Health and Safety and Medical Devices. I am responsible for maintaining Carl Zeiss Pty Ltd and Carl Zeiss Vision Pty Ltd Quality Systems. I conduct internal audits and supplier audits as scheduled. The biggest challenge is that I am based in Cape Town and can not always be involved on a day to day with Quality matters that might require immediate attention. I also need to rely on my colleagues to ensure that the tasks I gave them gets done

Pros: Great opportunity to grow in my field of interest
Cons: Not always being informed about changes that happens in the company and that can have an effect on my Quality System

Great place to gain experience

Provide plenty of overseas training. Gained lots of experience especially working with customers. Great bunch of people to work for. The equipment was of a very high standard and I was pround to work with such high quality equipment. I was proud to wear the Zeiss badge on my work shirts.

Cons: Lots of travel
