Love the shipping

SHIPPING My work day starts with checking my emails and following up on management so I can fill in the timesheets of the casuals. That it is filling and doing all my admin. Checking, containers being of loaded and giving client feedback. My co-workers are a small team in a office and we work well together. I communicate very frankly with my colleagues and team members without being authoritative. I have good listening skills and also excellent with communication, using it effectively to advise the team about problems we face. I have learnt a lot, about the shipping industry. I enjoy the work a lot we deal with a lot of different client and that makes for a different experience everyday. The challenged horrible but planning ahead makes thing go well. The weather a big roll on our work as the challenges comes we face it together as a team.

I really learned a lot

It was very difficult for me as I am actually a Handyman and the company split up and in order to keep me on board I was put in the warehouse. I learned a lot of loading and offloading, trucks, containers and links as well as stock taking. I believe there is no proper supervision in place and 1 person did the job and the others sat around doing nothing.

Pros: It was a learning curve for me and I really enjoyed the warehouse responsibilities
Cons: No discipline - bad HR

It's interesting everyday

ermm it's interesting everyday to work for my company it's has a lot of people who understand other people they don't discriminate other people according to Gender or colour
