Excellent learning curve and exposure to organisations and the various functional departments
I started my graduate trainee program with no experience except the office clerk positions I would hold as a bursar for the company. The contract is for 18 months where there are 3 rotations in the organization. I started my rotation in the Sales Department and I was able to learn about customer relationship building and also monitoring how we engage with our customers to offer them our products. My second rotation was in Marketing where I learned how to view consumer’s needs and how to develop sustainable and incrementally profitable brands. My final rotation is in Customer Services and Logistics and I'm learning about how to provide the most efficient service to our customers. My relationship with my coworkers has been one that has provided both personal and career development. I enjoyed being able to fully understand and learn how the various departments create a synergy in order to meet the objectives set forth. My most challenging aspect was learning about and adapting to the various group dynamics.
Pros: Great opportunity for new graduates entering employment for the first time
Cons: Your perfomance and possible employment may be influenced by other factors other than your contribution. First impressions are lasting ones.

Superior Graduate Program
Over the last 18 months I enrolled in a Graduate Trainee program at Colgate-Palmolive. The program consisted of 3 rotations (marketing, customer development and customer service & logistics) I worked on the Sta-Soft brand in marketing where I gained skills in data pulling and analytics, exposure to digital marketing, insights into new product development and brand management In Retail Marketing I worked on the Oral Care category. Here I gained competencies in strategy (price, promotion, placement). I was exposed to the E-commerce side of the business with Take-a-Lot and gained experience in the development and analysis of strategies. Customer Service & Logistics was my final rotation where I worked with the Shoprite Group team. Here I learnt about order processing, customer service, tracking performance against KPIs and gained skills in SAP Hana
Pros: Great learning foundation for a young professional
Cons: None

Excellent company with great values
We have a great working environment, My manager is very flexible and not one to micro manage. Co-employees are very friendly and we have a great working relationship.I have learnt a lot through the years I have worked here and really give them credit for hiring even outside of their job specks. If they see potential in someone they take initiative to nature and groom them. What is challenging about my job is that we don't have sop's , so we learn on the job which sometimes makes it just difficult because you never know whether you are on the right track or not.
Pros: A lot of growth opportunities
Cons: N/A

Production Management
A typical workday involves starting up the plants with Team Leaders. I have a very good and healthy relationship with my co-workers. What I have leant is that production is not a typical 9 to 5 job, its an all day 24 hour job. I enjoy troubleshooting and assisting my co-workers on the floor Most Challenging is having to solve a crisis on the linet delays productivity and efficiency
Pros: Building great relationship with co-workers and creating a family environment
Cons: Extremely long working hours

Willing to learn more in life
I do have a good relationship with my employer, as a driver I enjoy my job regardless that is not what I intended to be doing, however since I've being employed as a driver I enjoy my job nonetheless. I've learnt working with different people from different organizations without offending them, the most challenging issue is working under pressure in daily basis
Pros: Opportunity for growth
Cons: Normal hours
