Challenging

I was employed as a service technician, but soon became the second in charge of the branch without formal promotion. I received all the responsibility with very few perks. This was a frustration in the beginning, but in hindsight I learned so much. I can honestly say I'm not where I would like to be, but I am certainly not where I was. There is still much to be done and lots of potential in the company, but I do believe I have reached a point of saturation and need to step out of the company at least for a season to regain perspective and focus. The greatest challenge was that I really struggled to focus one task at a time, because there was always so many things that needed attention. My perfermance lapsed the greatest when I felt I had to compromise my standards to complete all the tasks assigned to me. This in turn tought me some of the greatest lessons I needed to learn namely, to say no when its to much, to ask for help and to step back and evaluate my progress.

Challenging enviroment

Ever since I started working for the company it has been the most challenging but yet a good experience of my career, we meet different suppliers and clients from all over the world with different needs and we have to deliver at all cost, I found myself being promoted in a matter of a year due to my hard work and dedication and I wish to see myself on top of the management chain one day.

Pros: great place to learn the export and import business
Cons: too little salary

Admin all rounder

I enjoy working with figures and numbers and always strive for perfection in every challenge given to me using a can do attitude. My relationship with my colleagues is kept strictly professional at all times maintaining a comfortable environment for all to work in and appreciate.

Pros: Great people to work with who value my input at my present position
Cons: Not much room for growth

Good learning environment

I’m the senior technician repairing servicing pumps . I do pump testing and pump building as well as pump modifications . I train junior staff . I also go site visit helping customers and at times I do telephonic conversation with clients giving technical advice

Pros: No opportunity for promotion
Cons: Normal working hours
