Denel land systems is a very good company to work for Great learning curve, more opportunities inside denel. The working environment is excellent with great team work amost designers open for help and motivation to new candidates.

Great learning opportunity
I started as an apprentice, qualified and its been a great company to learn what i qualified for, got a lot of exposure on electrical systems and relevant electrical components. Resourceful trades men helped me to rely on my knowledge in this trade and now o am very confident that i can execute electrical problems on my own.
Pros: Good exposure on the company

Excellent learning curve
working at denel land systems was a pleasure,i personal got exposed to many different department I've worked with a lot of people team work was enforced get to learn from different people.team work are always willing to share information.. I am flexible and willing to learn new things. I can easily adapt to new environments.I am proactive and I constantly apply myself when given any task and I work well under pressure.

New challenge
As a seasoned procurement professional with more than 30 years of experience in an engineering environment, and 18 years experience in Supply Chain. My strength is in Public Procurement; Managing a team of 18 professional procurement members. I communicate well on all levels in the organisation and well respected by my peers and all other stakeholders in the company.

Indeed a learning Curve and learned alot
Assist with urgent meeting request from EXCO Members, depending on the Agenda and urgency. File electronic mails, Follow up on email's which still needs feedback to external stakeholders or clients. Working with EXCO is a very demanding position as one needs to decide which matter takes priority. Working with diffrent personalities can be a challenge but if you a people's person it is easy to work well with people on all levels. I generally work well with everyone.
Pros: I learned and grew alot in relation to my experiences. Engineering environment with deadlines was a good challenge.

Excellent Learning environment
Working at DLS has added a lot of value towards my career in finance. It is a very fast paced environment and you have to be able to manage your time effectively in order to get things done on time and accurately, especially at month end and financial year end.I have very good relationships with all my finance team members. We support each other and work together effectively and efficiently. We dealt with a lot of big contracts and I have learnt the importance of always making sure that all variances are addressed as soon as they occur and that corrective actions must immediately be taken in order to prevent onerous contracts.The most challenging aspect of the job is that the only constant is change- you have to keep abreast of all the changes in the fiance environment like the IFRS, etc.
Pros: A very dynamic and complex environment and due to this you really do learn a lot within the finance environment.

Working in denel
Itits been great working in denel I have kept a good relationship with my co-worker I have learned a lot on the machines like how different tools perform when different materials are being used etc

Working at Denel has increased my knowledge and experience to a higher level,I have went on courses and I was promoted to a technician level and also in the process of becoming foreman.

My current company does not have any growth opportunities for me and although engineering work grows, the environment is difficult for females to thrive
