Wonderful opportunity

I was placed in a position where I had to lead a company out of a very difficult time. I was 25 at the time and limited experience. We were able to turn the company around. It still stayed small but it was profitable. The foundations were laid for stability and for future growth. I spent most of my day managing people and ensuring that each department was achieving their set goals. I was the support, and coach for multiple teams in both my organisation as well as our largest supplier. It was a unique situation where most people are not afforded this kind of opportunity. I have learnt that anything is possible. Anyone is capable of achieving their dreams. All that is needed is an environment conducive to learning and allowing mistakes to be essential learning and reflective moments in life. Turnaround success was achieved without worrying about the numbers. I was more concerned about the smile on the customer's face. The numbers worked out.

Excellent learning curve

I typically have to coordinate between service consultants, sales consultants and back office administration on a daily basis for multiple companies and individuals. All with their own requirements and deadlines. A typical day would consist of multiple meetings with corporate customers, individual customers, suppliers and marketing.

Pros: Exposure to different elements daily
Cons: In Johannesburg and my Family wants to live in Cape Town

Excellent learning curve

coordinating multiple divisions for superior customer service. This entails sales management, administrative management, supplier coordination, training, and customer liaison.

A balanced environment which aided personal growth and development

Managing people, budgets, sales and administration nationally. Special product development projects Workflow and administrative projects The focus was on ensuring consultants had all the facilities and network to sell and implement their advice effectively. After sales support was designed to ensure that their focus was maintained.

Pros: Steep learning curve
Cons: Up in JHB and I have relocated
