 Providing 1st/2nd line support to users through helpdesk support  Excellent telephone communication and remote desktop application.  Using helpdesk software (SysAid) to resolve calls and troubleshooting of PC’s, laptops and mobile devices including MAC books.  Control and monitoring end-users access on the server using Active Directory.  Administering the IT department’s policies and procedures (Asset management)  Diagnosis of desktop, application, networking (WANs & LANs) and infrastructure issues. Experience of supporting a wide and varied client base. Configuring checkpoint VPN, UniSolve,VATSolve, ReadSoft and SAP installation and configurations. Installing and configuring computer/Telephone Hardware component and software applications systems.  Installation and support of telecommunication and video conferencing equipment.  Maintaining a log of all problems detected and system backups (Cibecs User agent).

Great opportunity for a lifetime

A typical work day is busy, lots of customer queries since the pandemic. More interaction with customers via email, more problem solving. Relationship with co-workers is great everyone helps each other especially in an environment where we deal with customers. I have learnt to have a lot of patience, emotional intelligence and the ability to think out of the box. I enjoy being able to assist and get great feedback, it's really fulfilling. The most challenging aspect of my job is that when your under pressure with a lot of different tasks especially when it comes to administration needs one to be focused and not mix up work.
