I am a young and eager young nurse

I work a 12 hour shift with a maximum of 40 to 50 patients per day. I am a midwife. I work on my feet and think fast. I have a great relationship with my colleagues. I have grasoed alot in the 4 years i have been in the company and i am looking to broaden my knowledge in another field in nursing. Challenges in my workplace is overcrowding and influx of patients from other provinces as we are shortstaffed but make progress to give quality care. I love my job as it gives me an opportunity to meet new people and exchange wisdom with them.i get to impart myself in them and make a difference in their lives.

Pros: I love working with new mommies
Cons: Overcrowding

Had a very good experience there

Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital hospital is a academic hospital based in Ga rankuwa, Pretoria. In the x ray department when not on shifts I clock in at 7h30 in the morning and knock off at at 16h00 in the afternoon. Night shift is from 19h00 to 8h00 in the morning. I have a very good relationship with my colleagues, we were in teams and help each other when one lacks and mentor each other when ever we have time. In my very less months at the institution I have learned a lot, i now can scan using a CT, can use lodox and many other equipments. The challenges here it that it's a very big department and to learn different equipments in a short space of time and still be able to cope with as many patients per day.

Pros: Best ability to learn
Cons: Number of patients seen in a day is too much
