Fulfilling and challenging environment

My current job requires an enormous amount of energy and drive. A typical day for me involves planning, leading, organizing and controlling all operational activities in the organization. Our organization is responsible for training and developing individuals in the engineering trades and for me the most fulfilling part of the job is when I see apprentices graduating to artisans. Our organization is a private learning institution and is often reliant on government funding trying to get the SETA’s to support our projects is probably the most challenging part of the job. I have always been a career retailer and the field of education was new to me but I have learned how the education systems works in South Africa and how private learning organisations can operate in a public learning organization dominant industry and still make a positive contribution.

Excellent Learning environment

It is a very good working environment with its employees that are enthusiastic and very supportive when its comes to doing and completing the work.Its a training center for apprentices and deals with lot of intakes enrolment trade tests and making sure all the training center administration runs smootly.I am working under the Trade Test department where students come to apply for conducting the Trade Test after they are done with their Trades and also help in the front desk.

Cons: Unpaid overtime
