We tend to the work according to priority, artworks first that needs to go to the factories for manufacturing, then briefs for orders received which includes making up digital mockups of the product, taking and giving measurements and finding the right colour swatches. Then we move on to request developments which are developments requested of HJD by the buyers at Truworths. After that we move on to in-house developments that we think would suit out clients. The demand for these designs are increasing exponentially.I have learned to manage multiple brands successfully and help trend forecasting. I've refined by ability to manipulate photos with Photoshop, creating vector graphics in Illustrator and compiling multiple design elements into InDesign while working with multiple departments within HJD that all tend to buying and selling of different accessories. Keeping up with the demand can be challenging at times but I've received great feedback about my designs from Truworths.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn how to manage and produce for multiple brands.
Cons: No set goals to achieve, always pressured to create as much as possible in as little as possible time.

Difficult working enviroment

Difficult working enviroment Have a fair relationship with the buyers, although difficult as i was the first planner implementing effective buying plans, structures and SOP's. Learnt allot on managinf difficult staff and getting effective results i enjoyed seeing the results through implementation and growing the GP% It was extreemly difficult changinf a culture that was set for 11 years dealing with staff that have been in the business for a long time and avert to change.

Pros: Great personal learning enviroment.
Cons: Roadblaock to learning new systems.
