Great experience, every day is totally different

I'm the supervisor that means I'm responsible for the direction the project takes in all aspects. I ensure that every team member is clear of what is expected of him or her. We have a daily review of the work done and the challenges encountered. How those challenges could be avoided or resolved if there's a re occurence. It is utmost important to keep everyone focused at all times to avoid deviation from project goals and objectives. Beside dealing with the team I lead, I have to keep stakeholders on the loop on the progress of the project.Setting up short term deliverables to keep everyone goal driven

Pros: You grow as a person
Cons: Working on weekends and lot of travelling

Good environment to gain practical experience

Research data is the crux of my work; I curate qualitative and quantitative data sets using statistical software and programs. I verify the quality of the data through engaging with researchers. Me and my co-workers have a excellent working relationship that is built on trust, respect and honesty. I enjoy working with people (mainly researchers) who come from different school of thoughts and disciplines. This inspires me to learn more about various topics related to my work. The most challenging aspect of my work is the strict deadlines that I work under; I have to submit reports in a short period of time.

Pros: Personal skills and knowledge development
Cons: Tight work schedule
