My learnership journey in a workplace

I work as a hotel maintance. Fixing, unblocking and controlling some stuff. I change light, connect loose cables in the room, unblock the toilets, basins and showers, also maintaining the aircon. My relationship with my co-workers it's extremely beautiful because we have a team work we accomadate everyone since we'll it's the hotel and it have different departments so we getting along with everybody around. I have learnt a lot since we'll it's a learnership. I've learnt independency and being responsible at workplace. I enjoy my work most of all and also the way I communicate with my co-workers. The most challenging part for me it was changing a shift because at night am all alone so I was afraid if I can get any breakdown who will help me. The was a time were I had to be a releave for a night shift. That was the only part I was afraid of.

Pros: Great opportunity as a handy lady

Learned more on vegetarian offerings

Very competitive place since it background was mainly from the US. New ways of doing things and great opportunity for a well balanced diet. Very good to upholding international standards.

Pros: Well organised events and food experiences.
Cons: Long working hours.

Great Learning curve.

I have learnt a lot about my self and the company has helped me grow. I would advise spending at least three years and then leave afterwards as there aren't that many opportunities to grow, most of the staff have worked there for about 20 years and they are in the same positions still.

Pros: International exposure is the only thing i can come up with.
Cons: Long working hours, low salary , employees are undervalued and there is no company culture.
