New job challenging
I started as safety rep and I 've got promotion within a three months I was one the who draft and implement safety rules at our company base on SACPCMP and Safety rules and build my own safety rep send them to training. The most challenging aspects is you are not just safety officer you're a coach a teacher and other thing you are a learner because you have to enforce safety law and rules each time and the safety file that supposed to be update all the time and to meet the safety standards
Pros: Great opportunity to work around Africa
Cons: Joining start up is very different from joining established company. The main difference is lack of structure in a start up which has impact on work hours, processes and working relationships, there are less rules but that means there is more rooms for creative and to grow .I worked at my company for more than 4 years,Only 67 employees that I have to look for . I need a challenging job that will offer me opportunity to grow under safety management on-site

Great opportunity to learn even more about IT
It's a different environment as you deal with not just local systems but international as well and supporting different clients at different times zones. The staff are friendly and training is provided especially when new systems are put into place.A typical work day is starting the day with reading the handover and stats for the day before and continuing where the shift people ended as we work 12 hour shifts in twos. Check the servers and make sure that no system is down to purchase lotto tickets and also verify that the value entered the night before for tickets sold is correct.I have learnt more about backup servers and how to maintain them as well as the virtualization of computers. I enjoy doing the back ups during night shift and making sure that the back up runs smoothly so it allows me to go into the server room. The most challenging aspect would have to be the time zone as sometimes when you want to get back to a client you find that their offices are closed.
Pros: There is an opportunity for growth and they offer skills training so you get certifications as well
Cons: Long working hours and being on an indefinite contract

Production meetings, parts requests, ensure correct software and machines used, QC, burn software.
My daily work routine includes attending Production meetings to find out of new orders or any changes, requesting of required parts from warehouse, make sure correct firmware/software and machines are used and allocated, do quality check on machines, burn software, compile QC sheets & reports. I have a great working relationship with my co-workers. I love my job because it enables me to learn and grow. The challenging part of it is cross-department relationship & understanding.
Pros: It is one of the best in gaming industry and they appreciate their employees and customers.
Cons: There is always tight deadlines.
